Ashok is the research analyst for the Global Energy Program. He provides research and analysis, communications and outreach support to the Green Power Market Development Group in India.
Previously, he worked as a freelance consultant for a year during which he helped Climate Emergency Institute of Canada prepare its submission to the Rio+20 conference. He had also helped a New York based sustainability website prepare the framework for its 365 day sustainability slogan campaign. Prior to that, he worked with a consultancy firm based out of New Delhi on projects from renewable energy, resources management and urban planning. One of the projects that he worked on was the "Renewables 2011 – Global Status Report" published by the REN21.
Ashok holds a M.Sc. in Natural Resources Management from TERI University in New Delhi and a B.Sc. (Microbiology, genetics and Chemistry) from Osmania University in Hyderabad.
He likes watching movies, reading books, networking, cycling and travelling. He works out of the Bangalore office.
